In the bustling cities of Asia like Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, you will discover that it is every city dweller's dream to earn a solid reputation as a shopping heaven.

Most major cities in Asia offer a wide variety of shopping opportunities; arcades, bazaar, departmental stores, duty free shops and some even specialised in outdoor markets.

Singapore

The popular shopping destination among the tourists and locals is Orchard Road. It is another full potential has for every shopaholics to get. From fashion, IT gadgets, jewellery, treasure torve for luxury brands for fashion and accessories that every proud fashionista would not want to miss.!

Seoul, Korea

Insadong Antique Street Insadong is the place where you can experience the harmony of antique and modern art, and tradition in the midst of hectic urban lifestyle. There are wide varieties of folk arts and crafts - dolls in splendid traditional costume, fans, wooden masks, delicate and colourful embroidery, kites and graceful ceramic pieces that reflect traditional design.

Shoppers, you will really have the chance to pamper yourselves to get exciting and trendy accessories, fashion apparels and various types of shoes, boots at the famous fashion street, Myungdong. Also not forgetting, the wonderful Dongdaemun fashion town that caters to both young and old customers.

Bangkok, Thailand

At the famous Chatuchak, you can get varieties of products, from art pieces, to fashion apprarels, handbags, fashion acccesssories. Not forgetting Siam Paragon. You can get almost all kind of everything from luxurious products to local designers products. The center provides over 2,000 stores and services, over 150 eating establishments and a large cinema city.

The other shopping place that also drives me really exicted is Mahboonkrong, or MBK Centre. When shopping here, you'll find a variety of negotiable products including clothes, cosmetics, leathered items, jewelry, electronics, information technology products, furniture, restaurants, supermarket, theaters, karaoke and 4-storey department store (Tokyu). MBK Center is considered to be the most visited mall in Thailand and proven that we are the one-stop shopping center which you really shouldn't miss.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Back in Kuala Lumpur, my preference is Central Market (Pasar Seni) for art and handicrafts. You can pick local crafts such as songket, batik, pewters, antiques, artifacts. The other famous ones is none other than Chinatown or Petaling Street where you can varieties of products. From fashions apparels to handbags, foodstuff. After a day of shopping, don't forget to try the street food. They are really tempting, especially the "lok-lok". Just dip your preference of vegetables, meat, squids or seafood which have been skewed into a hot boiling pot. Then there are concoctions of chilli sauce, sweet sauce and satay sauce (spicy peanut sauce that have been grounded) to be served together.

For branded stuff, visit Suria, KLCC and Avenue K. There are also a few popular malls such as 1 Utama, The Curve, Sg Wang Plaza and Lot 10 where you can get variety of products and local designers products. "Pasar malam" or night markets are also popular here. It is quite enjoyable to shop outdoor, however, if it rains, the scenario will be messy!! Vendors are selling foodstuff, household products, fashion apparels, kids wear, CDs, plants, fashion accessories and toys. You need to bargain with the vendors for discounts. A few popular ones are at Jalan TAR, KL; Petaling Jaya & Cheras.

My favourite shopping activity is indoor bazaar. There is one particular one that I love to shop is in a shopping mall in Subang. Over here, you can pick varieties of fashionable apparels that come in various designs and sizes. Also not forgetting the household products such as soft furnishings such as quilts, embroideries, bedspreads and cushion covers. I love shopping in bazaar as you get very personalised services from the vendors. They are really warm & helpful.

Happy Shopping!!
